Just finished Writer's Digest Bootcamp- Scene One Feedback. Worked with Gina Panettieri, President of Talcott Notch Literary group. Great fun to talk with an agent and be in a discussion group with four of the agents from Talcott Notch last Sunday. From the tone of the chat conversations everyone was getting good feedback, being encouraged, and improving.

Intersection of Intent is live on Amazon.com! With the help of my publisher and cover photographer, Intersection of Intent has made it to Amazon.com and can be in your laptop, Kindle, Blackberry, iPad, or Android device for the low, low price of $3.99.
LIke to read mysteries and try to guess who done it before the big reveal at the end? This is a book for you.
Lives are intertwined when a house explosion kills one mother, a second mother abducts her son, and a third breaks her silence. Each of their boys, now grown, questions what he grew up believing; all three are determined to find the truth in New Minden, Ohio.
The story covers twenty years. A young mother comes to a drastic decision and her actions set off a series of events that change the lives of multiple people in the small mid-western town of New Minden. When her child graduates from college and needs to make a decision about his future, he decides he needs to know about his past first. Two other young men, with lives profoundly changed twenty years prior, also decide it is time to find out the truth.
Murder, mayhem, stale leads, wrong conclusions, coverups, and greed are sorted out. In the words of Keith's grandfather, "Follow the money."
Please take the time to review the book when you are done. It helps with the Amazon.com ratings!
If you figured out the ending before the last pages, let me know. I'll make the second book in the series more difficult, just for you.
Thank you for reading!

I jumped at a chance to be published by a new ePublisher, Trestle Press. The idea was that I would support them and they would support me. The owner of this young site is Giovanni Gelati. And he may be the ONLY person at Trestle Press - I never heard anyone else's names mentioned, from editing to artwork to distribution, to marketing.
His one page contract states that we should work together with the common goals of teamwork, understanding, and respect.
By signing the contract i avowed that my work was original and free from any infringements or claims by others.
It is strongly alleged that Giovanni Gelati thought that was a one way street. He is being accused of plagerizing other's artwork for covers. There are many blog entries and statements by authors and publishers who decry his actions.
The Red Notebook is no longer available from Amazon.com because of my decision to pull it from Trestle Press.
I do not want my stories, novels, and poems to be plagerized. I do not want artists to have their work plagerized either. I hope that we can all stand together on this issue and move forward to put a bandaid on ePublishing. May the wound heal and the scar fade.

The Red Notebook is a new short story just out on Amazon's racks! Inside a man’s mind lies the key to discovering the murderer in a small town scandal. Can he find the clues that will lead him to a solution as he studies The Red Notebook? A page turner in a double entendre read. Work through The Red Notebook, page by page with the protagonist and find an answer to the central question, did she fall or was she pushed? $.99 on Amazon - direct to your Kindle, SmartPhone, or PC.

Lakeland College in Ohio sponsored a Poetry Contest - their 24th Annual!
Have you ever read The Falls by Joyce Carol Oates? The protagonist, Ariah is widowed on the first night of her honeymoon. Her new husband jumped into the falls at Niagara. Ariah rejects her parent's pleas, shuns society's conventions in the 1950's and has a child on her own. She supports herself with the piano lessons she gives. When love finds her again she is catapulted into higher society strata. All is relatively well until this husband betrays her.
It is a moving novel and the poem I wrote is an ode to her struggles which take her to the brink many times.
"Acid orange fuel that eats life's metal" and "Refusing to see the holes rusted in my barge"
are counterpoints to the "...piano lessons, plaited pig tails, lit birthday candles." that happen in most every mother's life.
The poem won an Honorable Mention at the contest. Thank you Lakeland College for having a contest that pays for poet's creations!
